It's a very very Boondock kind of day...
Damn comments-server crashes.

From the back of a paperback novel:

Dominick Carrazzo's latest assignment could make him the uncontested czar of the New York crime families. But as the situation becomes a quagmire of political jockeying, his two-fisted grip on power begins to slip.

New York Daily News reporter Joseph Petrilli is investigating a string of brutal murders--and all leads point to an FBI director thirsty for re-appointment, no matter what the cost.

The two find each other to be valuable sources of information, and in the savage interplay of politics, power, and truth, lines are blurred...and crossed.

When making the first move means there is no second chance, every step counts, and you'd better have a good cover story.

Re: this last week

I'd like to apologize for the fact that alcohol intake exceeded water intake for almost two straight weeks, and express gratitude for the lack of a hangover.
Next time, however, a warning consisting of a headache or a neon sign that says "drink something, dammit!" would be preferable to being unable to stand up.

Boom shanka,

New layout, comments fixed after much consternation.
Apocalypse Now, for all the much-vaunted hoo-hah about it, is far from one of the greatest articles of cinema, although I am only to the point where a head is dropped unceremoniously into Willard's lap, and the TV decided to go on the fritz. But as far as I can tell, it's okay, and not much more.
