Yeah. Tinkering with code.
Ow. I have a headache. I think I need some sleep. And scotch. Not necessarily in that order.

Meh.

Oh yeah. If you're so inclined, check out Whitney's livejournal.
Whee! Finally getting some of my stuff moved into the new place. This is a place with a bathroom, and a kitchen. And TWO bedrooms (room for the cats to run! Yay!).
Plus a computer desk with a phoneline--DSL! Did I mention there's a kitchen and a bathroom? I don't think Americans by and large realize just how damn NIFTY it is to have the opportunity to evacuate in private. The place I'm in now (for not much longer) has a bathroom in the main house (across the yard from my renovated-garage studio) but even in THERE the bathroom door is one of the ones with three panels. I'm sure you know the kind I mean--how the frame is thick, and then there are three thinner panels of wood set into a frame. Nevermind. The point is that the top panel is missing because it's an old house and there is no heat in the bathroom; so it's to keep the warm air in the kitchen flowing into the bathroom to keep the pipes from freezing. Of course it also means that if you're ill and your shiny-white american posterior is making abysmal sound effects, the whole house can hear. That's okay at 3am or if the tenants aren't home. When they're having a party and you're throwing up or having 'gastrointestinal distress', it's not very cool at all. So a private bathroom is a good thing.
Not only does it have a private toilet, it has a bathtub AND a shower. I'm a shower person. But sometimes (winter especially) my knees get to aching and my back gets to aching or my feet need to be thawed (deep tissue frostbite being a BAD THING), and a bathtub is nice. My previous place didn't have a bathtub, just a shower. Moreover, even if I didn't take baths, a 3' by 3' shower stall is not big enough to comfortably shave my legs. Not by a long shot. So this is good all 'round.
